City of Watervliet Announces Service Changes In Response to COVID-19

 

City Hall and City Buildings Closed to Public.

Watervliet, MI – Due to the current increased spread of COVID-19 throughout Michigan and Berrien County, the City of Watervliet will be closing all public access to City buildings starting on Monday, November 30, 2020. City operations and services will continue via. telephone, email, fax, and through the city’s website. Some services may be available by appointment. To inquire about making an appointment, the City asks that you call during normal business hours, Monday through Friday, 8:30am-5pm.

Essential services such as police and public works will remain functional during this time as additional preventative measures are taken to ensure public and staff safety. Should you need to contact the Police Department for a non-emergency, call 269-201-7509. In the case of an emergency, call 911.

As COVID-19 cases continue to rise, the City advises all residents to follow preventative guidelines as set forth by the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS), and the Berrien County Health Department. This includes but is not limited to; the wearing of a face covering (mask), social distancing, maintaining good hygiene, frequent hand washing, and avoiding touching eyes, nose, and mouth.
