The Watervliet City Police Department consists of a Chief ~ Donald Divis; 1 full time officers ~ Lt Scott Richcreek.  The department also has 11 part time officers, 5 Reserve Officers, Ordinance Officer, Chaplain, and a Secretary.

The department provides 24/7 patrols.

The Police Department investigates criminal activities and enforces traffic laws within the City Limits.  The Ordinance Officer investigates all Ordinance violations.  Citizens can complete Ordinance Violation Complaint Forms at the City Hall which are then forwarded to the Police Department.
